The Confrerie du Sabre d'Or is a worldwide non-profit organisation that has existed since 1986, and has since steadily grown to become one of today's most exciting fraternities with 40,000 members worldwide.

The Confrerie du Sabre d'Or is present in Mauritius since 1996 with more than 20 caveaux around the island.

The Confrérie du Sabre d'Or, organizes events and ceremonies where champagne sabrage is given pride of place.

Sabrage is the spectacular technique of opening a bottle of champagne with a sword "sabre".
The practice dates back to Napoleonic times and has become a tradition associated with the celebration of champagne.

The Confrérie du Sabre d'Or has members from all over the world, including champagne producers,
sommeliers, restaurateurs and champagne enthusiasts.
It organizes regular meetings to discuss the latest trends and innovations in champagne.
